When a global service company wanted to expand their business operations in Iraq after acquiring a small security company in the country, there was a difference of opinion between the board in London and the local senior management team about the future growth of the business and its existing capabilities.
We presented the board with a cost-effective solution for the company using the existing team. Our involvement and the process improved communication between the senior management team in Iraq and the board in London.
As a result of the new strategy, the company has achieved increased revenue, diversified its client base and enhanced its reputation and image. This has improved brand awareness among business and political leaders in the country.
We undertook a thorough study of the company’s business model, visiting numerous business units and conducting interviews with staff. We then put together a compelling strategy for growing the business in Iraq. Our analysis received unanimous support from the board. We put together a training programme to help staff implement the national expansion strategy, which was successful.
